Transportation Services at Southern Adventist University.
Transportation Services provides vehicles
for faculty, staff, departments, and school organizations of
Southern Adventist University.
We also cater
to the transportation needs of area churches and schools.
Hours
of operation: Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:00,
Friday 7:30-12:00.
We have the following vehicles available for
rent:
- Cars seat up to 5 people. The cars are midsize four doors
with automatic transmission and air conditioning.
- Minivans seat
7 people. They have automatic transmissions and air
conditioning.
- 12 passenger vans. Vans have automatic transmission,
air conditioning, and rear cargo space.
- Box vans seat 2 people.
Cargo vans have an automatic transmission. The interior load
space of 15 feet in length, 7 feet in height,
and 8 feet in width.
- 2 Minibuses. 1 seats 23 and the other seats 29. The 29 passenger is equipped with a VCR and DVD.
- 3 coach buses that hold
46 or 54 passengers. These buses are equipped with DVD systems.
- 1 40 passenger bus. This is for group camping
or other outdoor activities.(no A/C)
- We have trailers ranging
from 8x5.6 - 12x6. The trailers must be pulled by a university
vehicle, unless okayed by Transportation
Services Director.
- 4 passenger golf carts.
All organizations outside the University are required
to present an insurance binder to prove coverage for the rental
vehicle. The
binder must show primary coverage and have a $1 million liability
coverage. Contact your existing insurance company to obtain the binder.
If this is
your
first time renting through us, please fax your binder to 423-236-1716
before your pick-up date.
